Born 1953 in Toyama Prefecture.
Completed Master of Arts at Zagreb University Graduate School, PhD at Hitotsubashi University Graduate School, Doctor of Sociology. Has held positions such as research fellow at Hitotsubashi University and assistant at Chiba University.
